I will typically aim to return approx 30pts from the win part of each way outright bets. For example with a 14/1 fancy, I would recommend 2pts Win/Each Way. This can increase at times, a very strong fancy being the main reason. Though some rare weeks may see no bets in the outright market, and others may see up to 6 recommendations, the norm will see 2-3 selections put up.
Alternative Market bets have proved very successful in the 4 years I have been doing this, and offer something a little bit different to your standard tournament preview. There will typically be 2-3 bets in these subsections weekly.
Since January 2017 my average total stake per week has been 23pts from the 100 events I have previewed. 2020 has seen the average fall to just over 20pts, and this is something I expect to continue. I have had less outright bets this term, and will likely continue with this trend. .
I won’t put up a bet just for the sake of it, but will list those that may have been of interest if prices available had been slightly bigger.
Not all recommendations will be available on the exchanges, and though I fully understand how hard it is to keep online accounts open, Paddy Power have proved a decent source for Alternative Market bets. Being a high street firm, a bit of endeavour can go a long way. In the main I try to avoid putting up bets where prices available are only with a firm which many won’t have access to.
I won’t put up a bet based on exchange price, as they can’t be verified as correct at the time of posting. All Previews are sent to the Smart Betting Club for proofing purposes.
I would recommend a betting bank of 300pts. Thankfully there has been no prolonged losing run since I began, but as in all forms of betting, that can come at any time. With 4 consecutive successful years, incorporating over 100 events previewed, I feel prospective subscribers can take confidence from this. Hopefully followers will see the service as both informative and profitable.
